Booking & payment

How does booking work?

Send the booking form, I look it over and message you, you create a Lovegraph account, I link it to your booking — and once you pay, your date is officially yours. Nothing is locked in until that payment, so you can change your plan, spot or timing right up to it.

How far ahead can I book?

Usually up to 3 months in advance. For places that need a flight from Tokyo, I sometimes open bookings around 6 months ahead — just ask.

How do I pay?

By credit card, through Lovegraph — VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Amex, Diners and Discover all work. Everything is charged in Japanese yen.

Do I pay the full amount?

Yes — it's a single payment for the full amount, made through Lovegraph. Your date is confirmed the moment it's done.

Can I change my plan or date after sending the form?

Yes! You can change your plan, spot, or time right up until you pay — nothing is locked in before that. So send the form casually. After payment, message me and we'll see what's possible (see the cancellation policy below).

What's your cancellation & postponement policy?

Before payment, nothing is locked — you can change or cancel freely. After payment, the short version — cancel 10+ days ahead: free / 1–9 days: 50% / on the day: 100%. To postpone, let me know at least 5 days ahead and I'll move it if I'm free. Full details are on my Payment Policy page.

Before the shoot

What happens on the planning call?

For most plans, we meet on a video call about a month before. It's mostly so we can get to know each other and talk through the places, the vibe, and anything you're wondering about. (For 1-hour plans, we just sort this out over chat.)

Do I need to know how to pose?

Not at all — that's my job! I'll guide you the whole way. You just come and have fun.

What should we wear?

We'll figure it out together before the day. As a rule of thumb, colors that complement each other (rather than matching exactly) photograph beautifully.

Do you arrange hair & makeup?

Yes — with the Styling option (from ¥50,000) I'll find an English-friendly artist and handle all the communication for you.

Do you provide dresses or outfits?

I don't, but I'm happy to point you to good rental shops that work well for visitors from overseas.

Shooting day

How long is the shoot? Is walking included?

Your booked time is entirely yours. Walking and travel between locations counts as part of that time — so a longer plan simply means more places we can explore together.

What do I do with my bags during the shoot?

Short answer: the lighter, the better. For most couple shoots you won't need a change of clothes or flowers, so ideally come with no bag at all — or just the bare minimum.

If your bag suits your outfit and looks good in photos, absolutely bring it. Anything else has to be set down for every shot — I'm happy to carry something small for you, but a big bag means stopping to put it down again and again, and keeping half an eye on it makes the whole shoot less smooth. So if you can, leave your luggage at your hotel or pop it in a coin locker before we meet.

Shooting a wedding, or anything with outfit changes or flowers? Just let me know beforehand roughly how much you'll be bringing, and I'll plan around it.

Do you offer video?

Video isn't part of my plans — I'm there to shoot stills.

That said, I often grab a few casual behind-the-scenes clips on my phone while we're out. That's not a service, just something I enjoy doing — so if you'd like some, just ask.

If you're after proper video, it isn't something I offer as standard, but depending on the shoot I can sometimes arrange it for an extra fee. I can't promise it every time, so please ask early rather than counting on it.

What if it rains?

Light rain — we go with umbrellas or find a sheltered spot (rain can actually make magical photos). Heavy rain — we can cancel or reschedule for free (I make that call).

What if I'm late?

Just let me know and it's fine — the time simply comes off the end of the shoot. (If I haven't heard from you 15 minutes after our start time, it counts as a cancellation with no refund.) Trains are more reliable than taxis in Tokyo traffic — if you do take one, aim to arrive 10–15 minutes early.

Can we shoot at a specific spot? Do we need a permit?

Most places are fine. A few spots need a permit, which you'd arrange — but ask me anytime and I'll help you figure it out.

Your photos

When will I get my photos?

Anywhere from 1 week to a month, depending on the plan — delivered to your Lovegraph page.

What format, and can I re-download later?

High-resolution JPEGs you can download anytime — and they stay available for as long as Lovegraph runs, so there's no rush.

Can I get the unedited photos too?

Yes — with the Unedited photos option (¥33,000) you get every shot I took, exactly as shot.

Do you retouch? Can you make me look slimmer?

I do basic touch-ups (like a stray blemish), but I won't reshape you. Honestly, your natural self is the beautiful part — and that's what I want you to keep.

Travel

Do you shoot outside Tokyo?

Yes! Mt. Fuji +¥20,000, Kyoto/Osaka +¥35,000, and more — just ask about the spot you have in mind.

Do you shoot overseas?

Yes — I shoot overseas too. Just message me and let's talk.
